Cemeteries and crematoria serving the Bayswater area

Although we’re funeral directors in Bayswater, we can organise a funeral anywhere in the UK. There are no restrictions as to where someone can be buried or cremated, and it doesn’t have to be in the same borough to where the person has died.

However, most families who are arranging a funeral for someone who has died in Bayswater will choose a local cemetery or crematorium, as there are probably ties to the area and family members or friends may live nearby. Local Bayswater residents also benefit from the special rates offered to those living in the City of Westminster.

Cemeteries and crematoria serving the Bayswater area include:

Hanwell Cemetery (Westminster)
Although located in the London Borough of Ealing, Hanwell Cemetery is managed by the City of Westminster's Parks Service having previously been owned and managed by the original City of Westminster. It’s why it’s sometime still referred to as the City of Westminster Cemetery.

Land was purchased in Ealing in 1853 to serve the people of Westminster, and the cemetery was consecrated by the Bishop of London in 1854. The chapels and offices are in the Victorian Gothic style.

There is a second Hanwell Cemetery which is managed by Kensington and Chelsea.
