Funeral reception venues in and around Hammersmith

After the sadness of the funeral, the funeral reception gives guests the opportunity to talk, laugh, shed a few tears and share memories.

Whether you prefer a smaller reception at home, or dinner at a special restaurant, a gathering at a favourite pub or maybe a celebratory event at a nearby venue, Exit Here can help you plan every aspect of the funeral reception. We can organise everything from the menu and flowers to the guest list and invitations.

Cemeteries and crematoria serving the Hammersmith area

Anyone can be cremated or buried in any cemetery or crematorium in the country. The funeral doesn’t have to be in the Hammersmith area, although the rates will vary for non residents. So although we're a Hammersmith and Fulham funeral director, we work with crematoria and cemeteries right across the UK.

But if the person who has died is a Hammersmith resident, most families or friends who are arranging the funeral will choose somewhere close by. There will probably be ties to the area, or a family member is already buried or interned there, and of course, there’s the benefit of residents’ rates for Hammersmith and Fulham residents.

Cemeteries and crematoria serving the Hammersmith area include:

Mortlake Cemetery
Mortlake Cemetery is in Kew but managed by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. To be buried in Mortlake and receive residents’ rates, the person who has died or the person buying the plot must be residents of the borough.

Opened in 1926, Mortlake Cemetery is sometimes referred to as Hammersmith New cemetery and is well known for its pretty gothic chapel which seats 60 people, with room for 15 standing.
