A funeral reception can – and should be – a celebratory affair and an opportunity for friends and family members to gather together in a relaxed environment to swap stories and memories.

Whether you prefer a smaller reception at home, or dinner at a special restaurant, a gathering at a favourite pub or maybe a celebratory event at a nearby venue, Exit Here can help you plan every aspect of the funeral reception. We can organise the menu and flowers and even send out the invitations.

Cemeteries and crematoria serving the Holland Park

Although we’re funeral directors in Holland Park, we work with cemeteries and crematoria across the UK. You are free to choose any location for a burial or cremation, although the rates will vary for non residents.

But usually, when somebody dies in Holland Park, families will choose a local cemetery or crematorium for the funeral, as there will be ties to the area or there may be other family members already buried or interned there. And, of course, local Holland Park residents will benefit from the residents’ rates offered by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The cemeteries and crematoria serving the Holland Park area include:

Brompton Cemetery
Brompton Cemetery was consecrated by the Bishop of London in June 1840 and is one of Britain's oldest garden cemeteries. Located in West Brompton in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, it’s managed by the Royal Parks and is Britain's only Crown Cemetery.

The cemetery features two sweeping colonnades and a spectacular chapel made from honey coloured Bath stone that seats up to 100. The chapel, colonnades and Brompton Road gate are all Grade II* listed.

Burial plots are available and there is also a Garden of Remembrance for cremated remains as well as a columbarium for urns.
